The problem with standard personal training

Most personal trainers are not built for executives

Standard personal training assumes you have a consistent schedule, predictable energy, and the mental space to focus on your health. Senior executives rarely have any of those things. Board meetings overrun. Travel takes weeks off the calendar. The stress of running a business or leading a large team changes what your body needs and how it responds to training.

A programme designed for someone with a stable nine-to-five is not going to work. Neither is a trainer who treats a cancelled session as a failure rather than an occupational reality.

Executive personal training is a different discipline. The goal is sustained physical performance under real business conditions. That requires a different approach to programming, recovery, nutrition, and the relationship between trainer and client.

What makes it different

Training for people who run things

01

Schedule-first programming

Your programme is built around your diary, not the other way around. Early mornings, lunchtimes, evenings. Sessions rescheduled without penalty when the board needs you.

02

Travel-adapted training

Business travel does not have to derail progress. Hotel room programmes, gym-agnostic sessions, and online check-ins keep the work continuous regardless of where you are.

03

Performance, not aesthetics

The focus is energy, resilience, mental sharpness, and physical capacity. The physical results follow, but they are a byproduct of training for performance.

04

Stress and recovery management

High cortisol from sustained business pressure changes how your body responds to training. Andrew factors this in and adjusts load, intensity, and recovery built into each block.

05

Nutrition without complexity

Practical guidance that fits into client lunches, late nights, and frequent travel. No meal plans that require a personal chef.

06

In-person and online

In-person at the Marylebone studio, at your home or office, or fully online for clients based outside London or travelling consistently.

Clientele

Who Andrew trains

Andrew's clients are predominantly CEOs, managing directors, senior partners, FTSE 100 directors, and high-profile media and public figures. They come from financial services, law, private equity, technology, the creative industries, and the public sector.

What they have in common is not their industry. It is the standard they hold themselves to, the pressure they operate under, and the recognition that physical health is not a luxury. It is the foundation everything else is built on.

Common questions

Executive personal training FAQ

What is an executive personal trainer?

An executive personal trainer specialises in working with business leaders, CEOs, senior executives, and high-performing professionals. They design programmes that account for demanding schedules, business travel, high stress loads, and the specific physical demands of leadership roles — rather than following a generic training plan.

How is executive personal training different from standard personal training?

Standard personal training assumes consistent availability and a predictable week. Executive personal training is built for the opposite: sessions adapt around travel, late cancellations, and changing energy levels driven by business pressure. The focus is on long-term performance and resilience, not short-term aesthetics.

Can an executive personal trainer accommodate frequent travel?

Yes. Executive Fit Club offers both in-person sessions in London and online coaching, so training continues regardless of where you are. Travel programmes are built into the plan so clients maintain progress on the road.

How often should a CEO or executive train each week?

Most executive clients train two to three times per week. The right frequency depends on your schedule, current fitness level, and goals. Andrew will recommend the optimal frequency during your discovery call and adjust it as your diary changes.

Do you offer corporate personal training for company leadership teams?

Yes. Executive Fit Club works with leadership teams and can accommodate multiple senior individuals within an organisation. Contact us to discuss corporate arrangements.
